I am travelling to Norway for a short while 2-4 weeks, and I need Internet for work. Is it a portable WiFi available for this and where can I get it and what does it cost?

I work 8 hours a day. With data. Excel sheets etc.

Thanks

You need a MiFi router and a 4G or 5G SIM card via a provider. The best option is to get some data-only prepaid contract in Norway.

A MiFi router is something like this:

But ofcourse you need a mobile connection at your location. If in Norway your stay is very rural that might be a problem.

A smartphone in hotspot mode is in fact portable WiFi, so it is not needed to buy (new) equipment for a few weeks, but it depends on various other factors. It’s easy if your smartphone is Dual SIM, then you can just add/insert a local Norwegian SIMcard.

If you have an KPN Unlimited plan/contract, it seems to me that that should be enough for the amount af datra you wil use, but do check it, Norway is not part of EU and those Unlimited plans are only unlimited in the home country, not roaming.
