Unacceptable internet stability issues that are affecting my work

The Problem

My internet connection is experiencing 368 disconnections over 6 days - this is completely unacceptable for a fiber service provided by KPN. Each disconnection forces me to reconnect to my workplace VPN, disrupting my productivity multiple times daily. After disconnecting, a reconnection is done in a few seconds. But this interrupts my VPN connection, and I have to manually reconnect, losing a lot of time.

Important note: It is noticeable that I don't see any disconnection between midinight and 6am. This is important, because it might be an indication that there is no issues on my network devices.

Evidence-Based Analysis

I have documented these issues with detailed technical analysis (I ran a Shell Script which produces logging on connection states and analysed all the data using Python with Pandas):

  • Service reliability: Only 98.73% uptime (should be 99.9%+)
  • Pattern identified: Problems concentrated between 12:00-16:00 (peak business hours)
  • Worst days: Mondays and Saturdays
  • Critical failure: 32-minute complete outage on June 23rd
  • Key insight: Connection works perfectly from midnight to 6 AM, proving this is a KPN network issue, not my equipment

Impact on Customer

  • Unable to maintain stable work connections during business hours
  • Constant VPN reconnections disrupting video calls and file transfers
  • Lost productivity and potential income due to unreliable service
  • Paying for "fiber internet" but receiving substandard service quality

Immediate Actions Required

  1. Network congestion investigation during 12:00-16:00 peak hours
  2. Infrastructure audit for my service area in Amsterdam
  3. Concrete solutions with implementation timeline
  4. Service credit for the poor service quality experienced

I expect a prompt response with a clear action plan to resolve these issues permanently. If KPN cannot provide reliable internet service during business hours, I will be forced to consider switching providers and sharing this experience publicly.
