Waiting since 15th of August for a working KPN fiber connection

Hello

I recently moved into a new apartment and started a one-year KPN fiber contract on 15 August. Unfortunately, I still don't have a working internet connection, even after several calls and a technician visit. Here's what has happened so far:

  • 15 August: I tried to set up my Fritzbox and modem, but it didn't work (power = green, connection = no light, alarm = red).

  • I called KPN support, went through the standard troubleshooting steps, and was told a technician would come by.

  • 19 August: The technician came, replaced my Fritzbox with a new one, and checked the setup. Now I see 4 lights: power (green), connection (no light), alarm (red), and data (blue blinking). Still, there was no internet. He said another appointment would be needed.

  • A few days later, I got a call, but since it was after office hours, I missed it. When I called back, I was told they would contact me again to schedule a new appointment.

  • 22 August (Friday): I waited for that promised call, but nothing came. I ended up spending another weekend without internet.

  • 25 August (Monday): Still no call from KPN.

  • 26 August (today): I tried reaching out to the subcontracted fiber installation company directly, but had no luck. When I checked again with KPN, the next available appointment is only on 1 September.

So now I've been living in my new home for almost two weeks without internet, which is really inconvenient for both work and daily life.

Thank you for sharing your detailed experience. I completely understand how inconvenient it must be to have moved into your new home without a working internet connection for such a long period.

Based on what you describe, it appears that the physical connection to the KPN fiber network has not yet been delivered in working order. In situations like this, it is necessary for us to create a ticket in which KPN Netwerk is instructed to ensure that the physical line is properly activated and functioning. In your case I'm not sure if that ticket is made so my advice would be to make an call back appointment to check the status

Hi,
I did manage to contact with KPN customer service but they forwarded me to KPN Netowrks team and they said that they will redirect me to the contractors.
I spoke with the contractors and they said that they do not have a specific date on when the issue will be fixed because they don't have access to that information.

I wanted to know is there a specific date known of when the issue can be fixed so that I can finally have network connection in my apartment ?

I’ve got a call from KPN networks to schedule an appointment for next week..

That is at least something. It means there was a ticket.   Hopefully they will get if fixed next week.
