Wifi internet never works at night - super disappointing

The wifi has not been working properly for the past 3 days or so. Ive tried restarting it over and over again but still the internet keeps dropping out. Every day the wifi just turns off by itself suddenly, and it only starts again after countless efforts to restart it (unplugging, switching it on/off). Right now its not working after restarting the modemmultiple times.

Very inconvenient and SUPER DISAPPOINTED. Expected a stable connection but this is anything but.

Background: Okay, been using KPN for the past 6 months and back then it was quite stable. However, ever since KPN decided to do some (unfinished) work with the glass fibre in my apartment, the wifi has been really bad.

What you could try aswell is using the Wifi manager on the KPN webpage, this utility is going to help to see whats wrong and is going to make suggestions and fixes for the issues at your location. And if the speed is lower then for example 20mbit then you’re getting Free wifi extenders or even an KPN mechanic that can solve the issues aswell.

Have you tried to eliminate some options by connecting with an Ethernet cable? If you then have a stable connection, internet is working and you really have a WiFi problem which could be anything like neigbours, electric motors, neon signs, switched power supplies, magnetrons, flipping atoms in the milkyway, whatever.

If the internet connection itself is bad, you need a KPN technician to come over.

Have you tried changing the WiFi channel? Perhaps a neighbor is using the same channel.

I went ahead and followed all your suggestions but nothing worked (took meall morning haha). I called up the service center and they couldnt figure out what was wrong either. A technician is on their way now to fix the issue.
