Hi, I pay for a monthly subscription for KPN to have 1GB wifi speed, but I only get less than 500MB.
Why should I keep paying 1GB?

You pay a monthly subscription at KPN to have a speed of 1 Gbit/s via a wired connection. Due to overhead, in practice you will receive at least 930 Mbit/s. WiFi is a different story due to limitations of environment and equipment. 500 Mbit/s is a very nice figure.

I do not completely subscribe this
I ran a speedtest on a laptop, connected with a WiFi Repeater by wire, and i got the following result. See picture.
500 Mbps up/down

+13En meet ook via de server van KPN uit Barendrecht of 020, dan krijg je vaak ook een realistischer beeld.

Ik zeg niet dat je blij moet zijn met de helft, ik geef alleen aan dat 500 Mbps heel mooi is voor wifi.
Maar zoals gezegd, de gebruiker is aan de bal als die het “te weinig” vindt.
