Hello there, I am asking this because a two days ago, the WiFi  was working fine. However, yesterday out of nowhere my phone and computer could not connect to the WiFi as it did not appear. This was strange, as the router (Box 12, specifically) had all flashing green lights, even as I reset it several times along with my appliances, however nothing works. What can be done to fix this?

Hi @MMorales and welcome to our forum!

Is the WiFi still not appearing on your devices? If not, what do you see when you log into the webinterface of your Box 12? Do you see the correct WiFi networks there and do the names match?

If so, restart your router by disconnecting it from the electricity, wait for two minutes, and connect it again. Is the WiFi visible then?

Hello! The situation is still the same, my WiFi still does not appear on my devices. I actually cannot login to the web interface of my Box 12, because I have used every link on the guide and it says cannot even connect or says it does not exist, even though my cellular data works fine and I have secured that it always started with http://.  What can be done to fix this? Anyways I will restart the router and see if it works...

If the restarting hasn't helped yet, try these tips for logging in as well if you haven't yet:

NB! Can't log in from mymodem.kpn? Then try it via http://192.168.2.254 .

Your browser may have a one-off security warning. You can then accept the risks under 'Advanced' without any problems. Because you are within your own network, this is safe. You will then be redirected to http://mymodem.kpn .

Have you set your browser to delete cookies by default? Then you will get the security warning every time you visit http://192.168.2.254  .

Do you keep getting the security warning or messages about an incorrect password? Then check the following things:

  • Check if your password is correct. Some characters are similar, for example the letter o and the number 0.
  • Check whether you use the URL with http://  , so without the s.
  • Remove old cookies from the browser and clear the cache .
  • Don't use a VPN.
  • Use the KPN DNS.

Does it still not work? Try another browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera etc.) or use  http://192.168.2.254/2.0/gui/#/login

Hi Sanne, I ended up fixing the solution. It turns out I used the ethernet cable (yellow) to plug my router with the computer in order to access the mijnmodem page, where I could easily find the details of my router. It turns out that my name and password had been changed a while ago by myself, I just forgot about it, and I connected under the new details just fine and it works just as well as before. Thanks anyways for your help and I hope this answer helps people who are going through the same situation!

Haha, I'm glad you found the solution and hope you wrote down the correct login information somewhere safe! 😄 Thanks for posting the solution, and have a great day!
