Hi, last week received iPhone 13 from KPN. Activated using the eSIM only on 21-Dec. I have the same problem. The number is not recognised. Last 3-4 days was in contact with Apple support they helped me with all possible solutions without success, and requested me to contact KPN. Tried everything suggested by Moesman. When I remove the number from iMessage & FaceTime, the rotating wheel stops but the number remains in the settings. I am not able to remove the number. Any suggestions.
