I recently bought Iphone with KPN connection. I permitted the portability of my existing number but I still see that the connection begins from 12th January. Can I until then use my current sim in the phone?
Also, how would I get the intimation that my KPN sim with existing number is activated and ready to use,

Probably the end date of your old subscription is 12 jan 2023, until then you can use the simcard from your current provider in the phone.
Normally you get an SMS telling you that the old simcard stops working and that you have to swap the simcard for the KPN simcard, if not then the moment the old simcard stops working swap it for the KPN one.
