I am unable to report a stolen mobile phone, and how can I login to mijn kpn with OTP when I am literally trying to report it as stolen?

Hello @Dhananjai Pai. Oh no, really unfortunate that your phone was stolen. And then we’ve made it even harder for you to block your SIM.

The best thing to do is to follow @Lvd91’s advice and give us a call. You can also request a new SIM at the same time. If you have a KPN store nearby, they can help you right away with blocking your SIM and providing a new one.

If you’ve already purchased a new device, you can also activate an eSIM yourself (which will deactivate the old SIM). Read below to find out how to do that.

The best way to contact us now is via a callback appointment. We will call you at a time that suits you and you will immediately get an employee on the line. You can also contact us via Bluesky, X or Facebook.

Hi @Dhananjai Pai ,

That's indeed not very convenient. ;)

You can also have your SIM card blocked by calling KPN:

From the Netherlands: telephone number 0800-0402

From abroad: telephone number  +316 1200 1200

Ah, the KPN physical store advise would have been perfect to know, did it with the number and awaiting the physical mail for the SIM card.

Great to hear it worked out on Monday! Normally, we’re available 24/7 to block a number, because it’s important that this can be done immediately. Strange that you weren’t transferred to an agent on Sunday.

I assume you’ve already received the SIM by mail and hopefully managed to activate it. That way, you’re at least reachable again.
