Moved abroad, how can I keep my number?

Hello!

I’ve been using my Esim and contract for about three years now while living abroad. When registering, I was living in the Netherlands and linked that subscription to my family home which I partly own but do not reside there anymore. I emigrated and registered in the RNI about 2 years ago.

Is it okay to keep using my number and contract? I saw one post say I should move it to a pre-paid account?

I’d like to make sure that everything is done correctly and KPN is informed properly of my status.

Hi @Drey, welcome to our community, you can defintely keep your number. If you still have a connection to the Netherlands you can keep your subscription with the number as it is. More information about that is on this page: Band met Nederland: voorwaarden roaming-gebruik | KPN If we have a problem with this we will contact you.

If you don't have a connection with the Netherlands as stated on that page it might be better to change the subscription to prepaid, this does not work with e-sim though and you'll need a physical sim-card. Also you'll need to either place a call, send a text or purchase credit every now and then to keep the number from being de-activated which would ultimately result in you losing the number.

You can arrange this through http://kpn.com/emigreren
