Switching to postpaid while traveling to avoid unnecessary costs

Hello!

I am writing from abroad. I am visiting my family for summer vacation and I talked to an agent before coming here about stopping my mobile data plan and they promised to switch me to postpaid so I only pay what I used (since I will not use data while abroad). However I noticed my account was still charged a couple of days ago? Was the change not made as promised? Is there a chance to refund the deducted amount and switch to postpaid now? And is there an email I can reach out on since I cannot call you from abroad and the chat function won’t connect me to an agent unless I give a Dutch phone number?

Thank you!

Hallo @walawi, thank you for reaching out to us here on the KPN Community.

I am not entirely sure what you mean. You talk about switching to postpaid, but you also say that you cancelled your're mobile plan. So I assume you mean to switch from a subscription (postpaid) to prepaid?

Unfortunately, I cannot help you with switching your number from postpaid to prepaid. I am not allowed to do this. We usually need you to call us for this to be arranged. You can call us at +31612001200 from your Dutch phonenumber. Perhaps my colleagues from webcare are able to help you. You can ask them via one of our socials: Instagram, Facebook of X.
