Request to return equipment after changing address

Hello! I have changed my address, and now I have been requested to return the old equipment within 7 days, if I don’t do it I will be charged 60 euros. At this moment I am unable to do so within the indicate time frame because I am away. How can I get extra time to return the modem?

    Hi ​@Tony Li, welcome to the community. Depending on how long you're going to be away, it should be fine. Just return it to us as soon as you can.

    If the replacement-fee is charged, it will be returned to you if we receive the equipment within 30 days of the date on the notification.

      ​@Erik van KPN Why does KPN require the return of old equipment? Subscribers can take all equipment (except the fiber-optic box) with them to their new address when they move. The fiber-optic box must remain in the old residence for the new tenant.

      My best guess here is because on the new address KPN use a y-cable to connect the modem. So they shipped a different model, which supports pairbonding, which btw I am not sure I will be using.

      Thank you, Erik. I have already received a message stating I have 7 days a few days ago. And I will be back in a week, so I guess I will have to pay anyway.
