When is DynDNS going to work on the Box 12?

The DynDns menu in the modem’s configuration does not seem to be active in firmware version “V12.C.24.05.08” of the Box 12. 

A similar (or the same) issue existed already in version “V12.C.23.04.39”, which is documented in this topic: 

The previous topic was a year ago, and it seems that it is not addressed yet, even though the feedback would have been brought to the attention of the technical people.

I had a phone conversation with the KPN support and nobody knew this as a flagged issue; it appeared as if there has been no report for it.

 

Is there any plan to fix this issue and enable this configuration or will it remain inactive?

If it is not working should it not at least be removed, not to confuse the user?

Good question, ​@vasily. Our modem people have a ticket for this, but as of yet there's no clear answer as to when this will be fixed. I can recommend to keep an eye on our Product Updates section. We publish updates there. You can subscribe (use the Abonneren-button) ans then you will get an email when we publish a new one.

We publish updates there. You can subscribe (use the Abonneren-button) ans then you will get an email when we publish a new one.

Thank you ​@Erik van KPN for your reply. Good to know that this issue is documented with a ticket. I will keep an eye on the product updates.

I will for the time being try to find a workaround to update my dns entry automatically in the event of an IP change, but this is best to be done by the modem itself.
